Helen Odella Williams, 85, of LaFayette, GA, formerly of Rising Fawn, GA, passed away at her residence on Friday, March 6, 2020.


She was of the Baptist faith and attended the Waterville Baptist Church and retired from Brock Candy Company of Chattanooga, TN. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Williams, Sr., parents, Ed Wooten and Georgia Camp Wooten, sons, Joe Williams, Jr., Allen Williams, and Eugene Williams.

Survivors are grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 10th at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ryan funeral home with Rev. Sam Barrett officiating. Interment will follow in Hanna Cemetery.

Maureen Imogene “Granny” Street, 92, of Rising Fawn, GA, passed away at her residence on Thursday, March 5, 2020.


Along with her husband, they owned and operated the Deer Park Restaurant in Rising Fawn. She was of the Baptist faith and was also employed at Gross Furniture and Glass Farm Nursery. Granny was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Street, parents, James Alexander & Virginia Whited Morgan, & siblings, Cicero, Russell, James (Johnny), Roy, Donald, Douglas, David, and Pauline Morgan Bailey.


Survivors include her son, Sam (Karen) Street of Rising Fawn; grandsons, Joey, Cody, & Ryan Street; granddaughters, Kim Street & Karen (Russell) Wright; great-grandchildren, Whitley Street, Morgan Street, Paige Hill, Kelley Floyd, Brooke Wright, Jarrod Martin, & Jaden Street; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.


Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 8th at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Eddie Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in Sulphur Springs Cemetery.

WILDWOOD, GA: William “Bill” Oren Estes, Jr, age 91, passed away March 4, 2020. He was a Mason with Charity Lodge 43 in Corinth, VT., formerly Jackson Lodge in West Fairlee, VT. He was also a member of Elks Lodge in White River Junction, VT.


Bill retired from the US Postal Service in Norwich, VT. He enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid hunter, fisherman, and beekeeper. He loved to camp and do wood working projects.


He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Hilda Estes and brother Henry “Pete” Estes.


He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Waneta Cook Estes; daughter Rebecca (Jon) Morgan; sons William O. Estes IV and Gary Estes; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; sister Sally Joy Mason; and numerous nieces and nephews.


The family will honor his memory in a private service.
