HEAD RIVER, GA: Michael Gordon Forester, age 65, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Mr. Forester was born July 17, 1954 in Ft. Riley, Kansas to Gordon Forester and the late Jeanette Forester. At the age of one year old, Mike’s parents moved to Lookout Mountain where he resided until his death.


He was a graduate of Dade County High School and worked most of his life as a machinist in the tufting industry. Mike was a member of Head River Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of Deacons and music director.


He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Forester, and brother Terry Forester.


Survivors include his loving wife of forty-four years, Betty Forester; three daughters Tamra (Ricky) Pendergrass, Breanna (Rashad) Forester, and Kiara (Randall) Johnson; son Jeffrey (Whitney) Forester; three grandchildren Cailie and Sarah Pendergrass and Faith Forester; father Gordon Forester, and brother Steve Forester.


Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM EST Saturday, February 8, 2020 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Dunwoody officiating. Interment will follow in the Forester Family Cemetery with Billy Matthews, Charlie Alsobrook, Adam Moore, Eddie Schrock, Gene Davis and Glen Stoker serving as pallbearers.


Family will receive friends Friday 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM EST; Saturday 11:00 AM ~ 1:00 PM EST.

Regina Ann Doyal, 68, of Flat Rock, AL, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 at her residence.


Regina was of the Baptist faith and attended Poplar Springs Baptist Church and was a retired sales associate at the Fort Oglethorpe Wal-Mart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack & Opal Wisner Chappell, sister, Gloria Wilson, and brother, Mike Cabe.


Survivors include her daughter, Jackie (Todd) Spurling of Chickamauga, GA; sisters, Mary Wilson & Sue Scammell, both of Bryant, AL; brother, Troy (Debbie) Cabe, Jr., Summerville, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Linda McWhorter Wallin, of Flat Rock, AL, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at her residence. She was known to her family at “Granny Lynn.”


Survivors include her husband, Jack Wallin; daughter, Cathy (Rusty) Wilks of Flat Rock AL; sons; Jacky (Kim) Wallin, Ringgold, GA, Mickey (Annette) Wallin, Trenton, GA, & Randy (Tonya) Wallin, Flat Rock, AL; sister, Vanda McWhorter; brother, Gene (Mirah) McWhorter, all of Florida.
