Charlene Rae Sherfield, 70, of Bryant, AL, went to be at rest with God, family, and her beloved kitties on Sunday, January 19, 2020.

Charlene, or “Char” as she preferred to be called, was born and raised in Waterford, MI and graduated from Waterford Kettering High School. She accepted Christ as her Savior as a teenager and always put the well-being of others in front of her personal needs. She absolutely refused to be a burden to anyone!

Char worked in the banking business for most of her working years, but, also managed a book store for several years and was the office manager of a veteran’s out-reach program. She was married to her loving husband Larry for 53 ½ years. They were life partners in everything they did and enjoyed many, many adventures together…such as fishing trips to Alaska, Manitoba & Northwest Territories, hunting trips to Colorado and many other journey’s to Hawaii, Mexico, Wind-Jammer Sailboat cruises in the Caribbean, Central America (Panama Canal, Costa-Rica, Belize), and a three week tour of Egypt.

She was loved by everyone who was fortunate enough to know her and will be sorely missed by all, but especially Larry and her current “feline love” Misty!

Char was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, parents, Harry & Gladys Rae Williams, sister, Becky Warner, brother, Jack Williams, and nephew, Kelly Williams.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Sherfield; son and daughter-in-law, Victor A. & Nicole Sherfield; sister, Dawn Shepler; brothers, Todd & Cori Williams, all of Michigan; many nieces & nephews.

Char suffered a massive stroke in July 2019 and fought a courageous battle to get her speech and mobility back, but the extensive permanent brain damage was too great to overcome. Love you Angel!

Wait for me at the “Rainbow Bridge!”
