TRENTON, GA: John William Martin, age 85, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019. He retired from Wheland Foundry and served a term as a councilman for the City of Trenton. John attended Calvary Baptist Church.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Imogene; parents, three sisters and six brothers.


Survivors include his daughters and their husbands, Sandra and Sandy Clark of Bryant, AL. and Sharon and Casey Morton of Trenton, GA.; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; special loving friend Margaret Blevins, and a host of friends.


Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM EST Monday, December 23, 2019 in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Renshaw officiating. Burial will be held in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens..


Family will receive friends Sunday 2:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM; Monday 10:00 AM to service time.

Rosa Robinson, age 86, of Trenton, GA, passed away early Sunday morning December 22, 2019. She was of the Baptist faith.


Preceded in death by her parents J. Davis and Laura Robinson, four brothers; Estel, Bill, Ray, and Morris Robinson, three sisters; Ester Robinson, Claudia Richey, Norma Jean Edwards.


Surviving include a host of nieces and nephews.


Graveside services will be held Monday, December 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. EST in Poplar Springs Cemetery with Rev. Brian Vann officiating.

JASPER, TN: Maxine Jackson, age 77, passed away August 7, 2018. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a member and Sunday School teacher at Ebenezer Baptist Church.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Jackson; son Danny Burt Jackson, daughter-in-law Penny Jackson, parents Chalmer Garrett and Velma Dalton; several brothers and sisters.


Survivors includes her daughter, Anita Knight (Patrick); son Michael Edward Jackson; grandchildren Kristin Jackson, McKayla Jackson, Annie Jackson, Chase Tate, Michael and Maxine Jackson; brother J. W. (Joann) Dempsey; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.


Funeral services will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at 4:00 PM EDT at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Bryant, Alabama with Reverend Steve Townson officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
