Carol Ann Watkins Burroughs, 65, of Trenton, died Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at her residence.


Carol was retired from Sonoco Products of Chattanooga, Tennessee and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Alan Jackson Burroughs, and parents, Claude Robert & Gannida Lee Dobbins.


Survivors include her daughter, Jillian (Daniel) Pike, Ringgold, GA; son, Chris (Laurel) Berry, Henagar, AL; brothers, Robert Watkins, Chattanooga, TN, and George Watkins, Somerset, KY; grandchildren, Jordan Berry, Mason Berry, Olivia Berry, Kate Berry & Gabriel Pike; three nephews.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 12:00 p.m in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South, Rossville, GA.

Rickey O.L. York, 61, of Trenton, Georgia, passed away Saturday December 7, 2019 at his home.


Mr. York was retired from Muller Corporation of Chattanooga, TN and he was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, and hunting. He was of the Baptist faith.


Mr. York was preceded in death by his parents Joseph O.L. York and Hazel Nell Clines, one brother Michael York.


Surviving include his loving wife of 20 years Sharon Bingham York of Trenton, GA; Children Laura (James) Wood, Jason (Erin) Buchanan, and Jordan York; nine grandchildren; also, several aunts, uncles, and many cousins.


A special thank you from our hearts to uncle Kenneth, our daughter Laura and special friend Cameron Maynard for all your help and support in this difficult time.


A memorial service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, December 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Bro. Dewayne Roberson officiating.

RISING FAWN, GA: Melvin Lebron McKaig, age 78, passed away Monday, December 2, 2019.He was born in Rising Fawn to the late Mary Lou and late Hugh McKaig.


He was also preceded in death by his brother Richard N. McKaig.


Melvin served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam, earning the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm and retired with 20 years of military service.

He went on to work in the defense industry for Westinghouse and Northrop Grumman for twenty-five years.


Survivors include his wife Sharyn E. McKaig, son Matt (Sunny) McKaig, daughters Kate (Bill) Sosnowski and Jenny (Clint) Spivey; eight grandchildren; sister Alice E. McKaig; brothers H.A. (Sandra) McKaig and Roddy E. (Donna) McKaig; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.


Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM EST Saturday, December 14, 2019 in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Brad Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in Hawkins Cemetery on Lookout Mountain.


Family will receive friends Saturday 10:00 AM ~ 12:00 PM
