TRENTON, GA: Winston Clyde Cooper, age 70, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. He was the son of Hubert Lee and the late Elsie Mae Cooper. His sister, Martha Sue McMahan, also preceded him in death.


Winston was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a good friend to many.

He was a devoted Christian and loved to share his faith. He had a passion for studying the bible and was always singing and whistling hymns. He was also a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps.


Survivors include his loving family, wife, Michelle Cooper; daughters, Annaleia (Shane) Wise, Karen Mussared, Kathryn Hurst; sons, Aaron (Stephanie) Cooper, Nathan (Becky) Hurst, Zach (Stephanie) Hurst; brother, Larry Cooper; twelve grandchildren, Taylor Cox, Nate Hurst, Wyatt Hurst, Jocelyn Hurst, Scout Hurst, Reece Hurst, Lexi Mussared, Elijah Hoofman, Andrew Wise, Jacob Wise, Kylie Mussared, Zander Mussared..


Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Mike Howell officiating. Interment will be held in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.


Family will receive friends from 12:00 PM ~ 3:00 PM Wednesday.

Donald E. Moreland, 82, of Trenton, Georgia, passed away Sunday evening November 24, 2019.


He was a member and past elder of Magby Gap Church of Christ and was an owner/operator at Moreland Trucking.


He was preceded in death by Jeff and Ida Smith Moreland, brothers Henry Moreland & Bill Moreland, and sisters, Jessie Moreland & Evelyn McNabb.


Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Martha Tinker Moreland, Trenton, GA; Daughter, Donna (Ted) Walter, Trenton, GA.; Sons, Tim (Diann) Moreland, Trenton, GA; Randy (Reecie) Moreland, Trenton, GA. Eight grandchildren, Kiley Muston, Jamie Nelson, Ben Moreland, Bonnie Harris, Caroline Hurst, Kate Jackson, Nikki Shepperd, Marie Moreland; 17 great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Minister Ronnie Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.


The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:00 am until the service hour at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton.

Sergeant Major William Thomas Hartline, 87, of Wildwood, GA passed away on Friday morning November 9th, 2018 in a Suffolk, Virginia Hospital.


He was retired from a distinguished U.S. Army career in the Transportation Corps. He served during the Korean War era and in country Viet-Nam. He was a Founding Member of The National Museum of the United States Army at Fort Belvoir. Known locally as "Tommy", he always remained true to his roots as a devoted family patriarch first and foremost.


Survivors include his Spouse Françoise (Fran) Josephe Hartline of Quimperlé, France, Son Gregory (Greg) William Hartline (Spouse Patricia Ann), his Brother Bufford Hartline, Sister Patsy Lynch, and several Nieces, Nephews, and In-Laws.


Sergeant Major Hartline was laid to rest, with full Military Honors, on November 26th, 2018 at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans’ Cemetery, 5310 Milners Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434, Section 17 Gravesite Number 1516.


A Service celebrating Tommy’s life will be held in the Ryan Funeral Home Chapel (11415 S Main St, Trenton, GA 30752 [706] 657-7525) with Reverend Timothy M. Lynch officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday November 29, 2019 from 6PM until 7PM. The service will be at 7PM. Flowers are welcome. They will be transferred his Mother's (Nettie Massey Hartline) grave after the service.
