Our beloved mother, Patricia Lenora Mitchell Cole, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 4, 2019.


Formerly of Flat Rock, Alabama, she had worked as a beautician for many years in Beckley, West Virginia, a bank teller at Citizens Bank & Trust in Trenton, and drove over-the road across the country in an 18 wheeler with her sweetheart for fifteen years. Mrs. Cole was a member of New England Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Alfred “Dick” Lewis Cole, and her parents, Ray & Mary Lee Mitchell.


Survivors include her sons, Richard (Dana) Cole, Cleveland, TN, & Jon (Amy) Cole, Trenton, GA; daughters, Mary Cole, Mentone, AL, & Lori (Joe) Ridge, Hixson, TN; sister, Jenny Graham, Grandview, WV; brother, J.T. Mitchell, Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Sheena Hatcher, Taylor Williams, Chase, Violet, Ciara & Cassidy Cole, Kelly Hale, Bradley & Logan Ridge, & Toni, Jones; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Mason, Liberty, & Keegan; several nieces & nephews.


A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 26th at 1:00 p.m. at New England Baptist Church, 240 New England Road, Wildwood, GA 30757. Rev. Matt Hastings will officiate.

TRENTON, GA: Rickey Dean Bennett, age 61, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away, Thursday, October 3, 2019. He had worked at Wheland Foundry for 26 years.


Rickey was preceded in death by his parents, David and Marie Bennett; sister, Joan Cooper; brother, Wendall Bennett; son in law, Michael Williams.


Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Missy Bennett; daughters, Tiffany (Casey) Sledge and LaChelle (Shane) Ray; brothers, Larry (Marsha) Knight, Ken Bennett and Danny Bennett sister, Joy Cureton; grandchildren, Dakota, Audi, Camdyn Williams, Jayden Sledge, JR. and Chloe Raines, Aydan Ray; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.


Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 6, 2019 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Philip Trask officiating. Burial will be held in Brown Gap Cemetery.


Family will receive friends Saturday 1:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM and Sunday 11:00 AM ` 2:00 PM

RISING FAWN, GA: Frances Jacqueline Byers, age 83, peacefully went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, October 2, 2019. She was a member of the Rising Fawn Baptist Church.


Jacqueline was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Byers; her parents, Mike and Winnie Buffington.


Survivors include one daughter, Pamela Marie Brodie (Jerry); two sons, Allen Byers and Victor Byers; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; brother Ben L. Buffington; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.


Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM EDT Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Rising Fawn Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Atkins and Reverend Richard Byers officiating. Interment will follow in Deer Head Cove Cemetery.


Visitation will be held Friday, October, 4, 2019 from 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM EDT at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home; Saturday 11:00 AM ~ 1:00 PM EDT at Rising Fawn Baptist Church.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rising Fawn Baptist Church Choir.
