HIGDON, AL: Barry Lynn Reece, age 49, passed away September 4, 2019. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend.


He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Reece, and sister, Regina Reece.


Survivors include his wife of twenty-seven years, Wanda Reece; sons Dillion (Kaitlyn) Reece, Zebulon Reece; grandchild Jase Reece; mother Nelda Reece; sister Denise (Anthony) Laney; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.


Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM EDT Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Browns Gap Cemetery.


Visitation Friday 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM EDT; Saturday 10:00 AM ~ 12:30 PM EDT at Moore Funeral Home, Bryant, AL chapel.

Willia “Dee” Delores Holdaway, age 70, of Hudson, FL passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019. She owned and operated Dee’s Restaurant in Hudson, FL for over fifteen years. Mrs. Holdaway was of the Baptist faith.


Preceded in death by her parents William “Bill” and Alta Mize Holdaway; siblings Gilbert Kaylor, Allen Kaylor, Joe Kaylor, and Jimmy Kaylor.


Surviving include her daughter Dee Ann Webb of Charleston, TN; son William “Buddy” (Elizabeth) Holdaway of Trenton, GA; son Derrel “Bink” (Melanie) King of Hudson, FL; nine grandchildren: Crystal West, April Cuzzort, Lily Cuzzort, Andrew Holdaway, Alex Holdaway, Derrel King, Troy King, Rachel King, Willia King; two great-grandchildren: Abria Robertson and Delilah West; sister Liz (Lee) Riddle; several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Bro. Tim Renshaw and Bro. Billy Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Byrd’s Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday and 12:00 PM to service time Wednesday at the Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, GA.

Buster Garrison, 87, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 in a local health care facility.


Mr. Garrison was retired from S&M Supply of Chattanooga following 30 plus years of service, was a member of the Wolftever Fishing Club and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mose & Mary Jane Garrison, daughter, Sandra Heck, and sister, Ellen Helton.


Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Barbara Garrison; children, Ronnie Garrison & Charlie (Wilma) Garrison, all of Chattanooga, Cindy (Mike) Moore, Rising Fawn, GA, Greg (Brenda) Garrison, Harrison, TN, and John Garrison, Athens, TN; grandchildren, Dustin Garrison, Erica Garrison, Lindsey McCann, Tara Page, Laura Renshaw, Michael Moore, Steven Garrison, Brandon Garrison, John Garrison, & Jodi Garrison; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, JoAnn Parrott, Lucille Bradshaw, & Betty Garrison; several nieces & nephews.


Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East, Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, with Brother Eddie Cantrell officiating.
