TRENTON, GA: Sherry Elaine Holland-Bates, age 71, passed away August 5, 2019. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a member of Canaanland Baptist Church.


She was preceded in death by her husbands Nelson Holland and Cliff Bates; parents Russell and Mable Wooten; sister Norma Jean Wooten; brothers Stevie and Hubert Wooten.


She is survived by her daughters Donna Price, Trenton; Marquetta Walker, Flat Rock; son Bradley Holland, Flat Rock; step-daughter Shirley Angulo, TX.; step-son Johnny Holland, Flat Rock; grandchildren Shana (Vincent) Perkins, Rising Fawn; Heather (Jeff) Nelson, Rising Fawn; Zachery (Kim) Radetski, Lafayette; Nelson (Sarah) Holland, Scottsboro, AL.; Sherman Mathews, Brookfield, IL.; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters Geneva Wooten, Elsie Rooney, and Diane Wooten; brother Lee (Donna) Wooten; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.


Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM EDT Wednesday, August 7, 2019 in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Darren Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Payne Gap Cemetery.

Anita Ann Calderon, 55, of Trenton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 in a local hospital.


Anita was a native of Montgomery, Alabama and had lived in Trenton for many years and was employed by Shaw Industries. She worked extremely hard for all sporting events in the Dade County School System and with the Boy Scouts of America.


Anita leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Jose Calderon, children, Elisa, Pepe, & Carlos Calderon, mother, Phyllis Wilson; brother, Robert Wilson, and sister, Belinda Laws.


Funeral services will be held Thursday at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. John Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Trenton Baptist Cemetery.

GAYLESVILLE, AL: Lloyd Mashburn, age 75, passed away July 29, 2019. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Mashburn; parents William and Dollie Mashburn; three brothers and two sisters.


Survivors include his daughters, Mary Ann Hulvey and Vicki Curtis; sons Lloyd (Jodi) Mashburn and Timmy (Leanne) Mashburn; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters Helen Morton and Mary Spears Elliott; brother Paul Mashburn; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.


Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the Pilgrim Baptist Church, Ider, AL. with Reverend Rayford Brown and Brother Jimmy Black officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Cemetery.
