The Dade County Sheriff's Office is asking for help locating a stolen trailer and the owner of the vehicle seen on camera stealing the trailer from a Dade County business.


The Sheriff's Office put out the request for assistance on social media Thursday morning.


"We are requesting assistance with locating the owner of this vehicle, as well as locating a stolen trailer.

This vehicle was seen stealing a trailer from Reeves Heating & Air on Highway 11. The vehicle appears to be a dark colored mid 2000's Ford Expedition with a ladder on the roof, and a light colored lower rear bumper.

The stolen trailer is red, with higher metal side walls.

Early Voting for the State and Presidential Primary is set to end Friday, June 5, so Dade County voters have one more day to vote early.  Tomorrow at 2 p.m. Early Voting will end in the meeting room of the Dade County Administration

building.


As of 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, the elections office reported they had received 38 Non-partisan ballots, 271 Democratic ballots, and 1,043 Republican ballots by mail in.  In person voters total one Non-partisan, 20 Democrats, and 887 Republicans for a total of 2,260 total ballots cast. 

If you miss early voting, and are a registered voter, you can still vote in your precinct on Election Day.  Polls in the county districts will be open on Tuesday, June 9 from 7 am to 7 pm. Mail in ballots have until Tuesday, June 9 at 7 p.m. to be in or you can drop your mail in ballot in the drop box in front of the county administration building at any time prior to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.




Eddie Cloud, 69, of Trenton, GA, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at his residence.

Eddie was a lifelong resident of Dade County, having graduated from Davis High School in 1970. He was of the Baptist faith and was employed as a diesel mechanic for many years, retiring from Sathers following 20 years of service. Eddie was preceded in death by his infant son, Edward Cloud, and parents, Dock & Bobbie Cloud.

Survivors include his loving companion of nine years, Vickie Wade; sons, Jeremy Cloud, Chapel Hill, NC, & Josh Cloud, Prattville, AL; brother and sister-in-law, Michael & Regina Cloud of Trenton; granddaughters, Ashley & Audrey Cloud.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Cloud officiating. Interment will follow in Brown’s Gap Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 4th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, GA.
