NANCY BERNYCE THOMISON

Nancy Bernyce Stone Thomison, 88, of Trenton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in a local health care facility.

Bernyce was born in Cedar Bluff, Nebraska in 1930 to the late Ploney Ladd Stone & Lemual A. Stone. She was a graduate of Rossville High School class of 1948 and married Jay Thomison on March 11, 1955 while living in St. Elmo. She was employed by Combustion Engineering from 1959 until 1961 when it became U.S. Pipe & Foundry. She retired from there in May of 1990. Bernyce and Jay attended services in Alabama with her parents until 1974 after which time they attended First Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga until their move to Trenton in 1979. In addition to her parents, Bernyce was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Kathleen Boatner Stone, and brother-in-law, Dallas Hilliard Plemmons.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 64 years, Jesse “Jay” Lamar Thomison; brother, Rev. Dr. Virgil R. Stone; sister, Zonie Stone Plemmons; nieces, Nancy Plemmons Craig, Jo Ann Stone Willhite, & Joycee Stone Herring; several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 25th at 10:00 a.m. at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dr. Virgil Stone officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

TRENTON, GA: Addison C. Avery, age 79, passed away May 14, 2019. He enjoyed raising chickens, working on the farm, and gardening.

Survivors include his daughter, Anita Holiham, daughter Cindy and son-in-law Kenny Throp; son Allen Avery; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild; best friend Dale Morrow; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, May 24, 2019 in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home.

BETTY JEAN OTT

Betty Ott, age 81, of Trenton, GA went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday evening May 18, 2019. She enjoyed close friends and fellowship at the Dade County Senior Center. She was retired from the Bank of Dade after 31 years of service. She was a charter member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Ott, parents G.C. and Mary Lou Hardeman.

Surviving include her children Pam (AL) Barton of Trenton, GA, Kristy (Corley) Johnson of Trenton, GA, and Kenneth (Angela) Ott of Higdon, AL; five grandchildren Alex Barton, Madeline (Andrew) Blaylock, Zach (Aundrea) Johnson, Marissa Johnson, and Isaac Ott; one great granddaughter Nola Grace Blaylock; one sister Ina Brown; also several nieces and nephews.
