CHATTANOOGA TN: Melinda (Mindy) Dawn Kernea, age 45, passed away on Sunday,

May 12, 2019. She was a 1994 graduate of Ridgeland High School.


She was preceded in death by her dad, Richard Lee Kernea.


Mindy is survived by her loving mother, Connie Kernea; sister, Alison Kernea; brothers,

Rick (Wendy) Kernea and Cameron Grimsley; grandmother, Flora Lee Kernea; nephew,

Trey Kernea; nieces, Meghan and Caitlyn Kernea; aunt, Donna Grimsley; uncle, Harold

and Jimmy Whitlow and many friends.


Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Tennessee/Georgia

Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Father Thomas P. Law officiating.


Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00 AM ~ 12:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home.

Valorie Hawkins Taylor, 68, of Rising Fawn, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 9, 2019.


Valorie was a graduate of the 1968 class of Dade County High School and later was employed at the school as a Para-pro. She also enjoyed several years working in the Tax Commissioners office. A Baptist by faith, Valorie was a loving mother, devoted wife and will be missed my many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Floyd Taylor, parents, H.G. & Savannah Hawkins, and sister, Cathy Hawkins-Sharp.


Survivors include her daughter and best friend, Kristie Taylor of Trenton, GA; several close friends.


Funeral services will be held Monday, May 13th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Bro. Darren Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Beene Cemetery.

BRYANT, AL: Charles Bethel Bell, age 82, passed away May 8, 2019. He was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.


He was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Nellie Bernese Bell; parents Bethel and Jessie Bell; brother Bill Underwood.


Survivors include his daughter, Melba (Johnny) Castleberry, Bryant, AL.; son Coy Bell, Decherd, TN.; grandson Jeremy Bell; great-grandchildren River Bell and Lake Bell; great-great granddaughter Braylee Bell; special grands Alicia Wooten ,Jessica Beardon, and Creek Higdon; sisters Mary Jean Smith, Bryant, AL.; Edith (George) Presley, Marietta, GA.; Larry (Joyce) Bell, Knoxville, TN.; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.


Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM EDT Friday, May 10, 2019 in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Bennie Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memory Gardens.


Visitation will be held Thursday 4:00 PM EDT ~ 8:00 PM EDT; Friday 10:00 AM ~ 2:00 PM EDT at the Bryant Chapel.


The family would like to thank Glenda Walsh, Frank Mooney, and Alacare Hospice for their loving care during these difficult days.
