TRENTON, GA: Spencer George Taylor, age 83, passed away July 29, 2019.

He loved his family and enjoyed the outdoors, especially with his dog, Gracie.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Ruth Taylor, parents William and Rena Taylor, and brothers Columbus Harlon, Amos, Luther, and Tuck Taylor.


Survivors include his daughter, Donna (Perry) Williams; son Willie (Mary) Taylor; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister Vonnie Sharpton, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.


Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 2, 2019 in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Cantrell officiating. Burial will be held in Payne Cemetery.


Visitation Thursday 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM; Friday 10:00 AM ~ 1:00 PM

Clyde Franklin (Hook) Raines ,75, Trenton Ga. died peacefully at his home on July 27, 2019.


Hook was born on Jan. 18, 1944 & was preceded in death by his parents Clyde Buck Raines and Dorothy Derryberry Raines. He was retired after 32 years of service from Hanson Inc. as head mobile mechanic and was of the Baptist faith. Hook was an accomplished deer hunter and avid sportsmen. He spent many hours throughout his lifetime in the woods. He not only enjoyed hunting game, but he relished in his storytelling of it. He was a great teacher of the art of hunting. Many young hunting enthusiasts came to hunt with Hook for leadership and guidance.


He is survived by his (4) children, Rita (Tommy) Kirk, Clyde (Amanda) Raines, Roger (Pam) Raines, Lamar (Sherry) Raines; (3) grandchildren, Tyler Raines, Sarah Kelly, & Sadie Raines. (2) step-grandchildren, Victoria & Christopher Weber; (1) great- grandchild, (5) step great- grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.


A celebration of life will be held at a date to be announced.


The family wishes to express their appreciation for all visits, flowers, food, calls, texts, during Hook’s illness.

BRYANT, AL: Halie Danielle Swafford, age 37, passed away July 24, 2019. She was of the Baptist faith.


She was preceded in death by her grandparents James and Beatrice Price and Rev. George Scott.


She is survived by husband of nineteen years, Jesse Swafford; daughter Greenlee Swafford; mother Alisha Scott Cook and step-father Randy Cook;, father Anthony Price and step-mother Debbie Price; grandmother Flora Lorene Scott Smith; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.


Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM EDT Sunday July 28, 2019 in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Roger Aultman officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
