Clyde Franklin (Hook) Raines ,75, Trenton Ga. died peacefully at his home on July 27, 2019.
Hook was born on Jan. 18, 1944 & was preceded in death by his parents Clyde Buck Raines and Dorothy Derryberry Raines. He was retired after 32 years of service from Hanson Inc. as head mobile mechanic and was of the Baptist faith. Hook was an accomplished deer hunter and avid sportsmen. He spent many hours throughout his lifetime in the woods. He not only enjoyed hunting game, but he relished in his storytelling of it. He was a great teacher of the art of hunting. Many young hunting enthusiasts came to hunt with Hook for leadership and guidance.
He is survived by his (4) children, Rita (Tommy) Kirk, Clyde (Amanda) Raines, Roger (Pam) Raines, Lamar (Sherry) Raines; (3) grandchildren, Tyler Raines, Sarah Kelly, & Sadie Raines. (2) step-grandchildren, Victoria & Christopher Weber; (1) great- grandchild, (5) step great- grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a date to be announced.
The family wishes to express their appreciation for all visits, flowers, food, calls, texts, during Hook’s illness.
