Arwin Yates, of Rising Fawn, Georgia went home to meet her Lord on Friday, March 15, 2019, one day after celebrating her 96th birthday.
Her family have been residents of Dade County for six generations. Mrs. Yates was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was a loving Sunday School teacher for many years. She truly loved her Lord and was a testimony to many. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.W. Yates, her parents, Lawrence Cole & Gertrude Cole King, three sisters, Gertrude Trew, Margaret Hamilton, & Ruth Dobbs.
Survivors include her sons, Thomas (Pat) Yates of Rincon, GA & Jerry (Imogene) Yates of Phenix City, AL; daughters, Lucile (Larry) Keown of Snellville, GA, Carol (John) Bruce of Rising Fawn, GA, Mary (Jerry) Henegar of Flat Rock, AL; sixteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 17th at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Henegar officiating. Interment will follow in Trenton Baptist Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga for their loving care and kindness. She will forever be missed in our hearts.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 16th from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until the funeral hour at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, GA.
