ERIC SCHMELZER

Eric Romuel Schmelzer, 53, of Flintstone, Georgia, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 15, 2019.

Born and raised in the Dearborn area of Michigan, Eric moved to Chattanooga where he started a new journey and brought his two sons into the world. He later moved to Georgia, where he lived the remainder of his life with his two sons as his focus. He was preceded in death by his father, Nickolas Schmelzer of Michigan.

Survivors include his sons, Nickolas & Kevin Schmelzer; mother, Carolyn Kelly, aunt, Debbie Bush; brother, Nickolas Schmelzer; sister, Leslie Davis; nephew, Jake Davis; niece, Jillian Davis; several cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at New Salem United Methodist Church, 12550 Highway 136, Rising Fawn, GA 30738, with Rev. Chris Ray officiating.
