MYRA JEAN GARNER

Myra Jean Roach Garner, age 87, of Chattanooga, TN passed away on Tuesday,

December 18, 2018. She was born May 17, 1931 in Fackler, AL. She was married

to the late James Leonard Garner for 61 years. Mrs. Garner was a Graduate of

Scottsboro High School in Scottsboro, AL. She was also a member of Lookout

Valley Baptist Church and the Golden Circle Sunday School Class for 62 years.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jamie (Neil) Garner Koonce of

Knoxville, TN; grandsons Andrew Garner Koonce and wife Lexi of Dallas, TX and

William Ross Koonce of Hyde Park, NY. She was the daughter of the late Myron

and Fannie Roach of Fackler, AL. Siblings include Frances Worley and Evelyn

Roach of Scottsboro, AL, W.C. Roach of Stevenson, AL, Roy Roach of Mobile, AL and the late Starkey Roach of De Funiak Springs, FL, plus many nieces and

nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lookout

Valley Baptist Church Golden circle Sunday School Class, 23 Lilac Avenue,

Chattanooga, TN 37419.

Family will receive friends 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 22nd at

Lookout Valley Baptist Church

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the

Lookout Valley Baptist Church with Pastors Wade Casey and Troy Walliser

officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday, December 24,2018.
